Do people mistake you for each other, how have you used that to your advantage?
All the time! We never take advantage because we’re too good, but this is probably the most common question anyone asks. No, we never switched classes or pranked our teachers etc.
Did you ever dress alike?
Twin day for spirit week in school. Sometimes unintentionally because we both have the same clothes by nature of doing everything together.
Favorite memory together?
Sports and music class together throughout grade school.

Yes, but time apart since high school brings us farther and farther apart like it would for anyone.
How do you celebrate your birthdays?
Like anyone else. We also make sure to buy each other gifts, which is pretty unique.
What was the most embarrassing situation you ever found yourself in because you’re a twin?
Probably just every time I had to correct someone calling me the wrong name. Happened a lot and others are usually embarrassed by getting it wrong so I sympathize.
Have you struggled with your identity?
Yes, realized after the fact in college and beyond that I kinda like being an individual and people actually know my name lol.
Do you sometimes compare yourself to your twin?
All the time. Can be nice at times with sports for example having someone so close to your skill level pushing you competitively.
What effects does being a twin have on your life?
None really now that we’ve lived apart for so long.
What are the most annoying things people have said to you about being a twin?
This one friend in high school would tell everyone that I was the “ugly twin”. Years later told me he was obviously just joking because we look the exact same, but his sarcasm was very hard to identify and I took it to heart.
What’s the biggest fight you’ve ever had with your twin?
We fought all the time growing up. Often over video games. Like punches were thrown. That died off by like high school and the verbal arguments became a lot more rare and civil.
Growing up, how was your relationship with your twin?
A close as can be.
How is your relationship with your twin now?
Basically the same, but our virtual communication has slowly lessened a bit in frequency.
What did your parents do right and wrong, in raising twins?
Mostly did right. I would say they fueled the narrative like most everyone else that we were just shy/quiet and preferred to keep to ourselves. I feel like that pressure in a sense trapped up in our shells until we moved away for college.
What are the biggest misconceptions about twins?
That we have telepathy or something.
What are disadvantages of being a twin?
Lesser sense individualism.

Always having a close friend to talk to. Far outweighs all of the disadvantages.

“Hey, twin!” I’d prefer you give me some dignity or just call me the wrong name lol, but not a big deal either way.
