Fibromyalgia
They try to make it off as anxiety, stress, or even tell you that it’s all in your head. It took me over a decade to find a doctor that took me seriously.
Fibromyalgia
Its a monster inside thats always coming up with new ways to make you feel worse. I can barely leave my home anymore, everything seems to trigger my symptoms.
Fibromyalgia
The pain is constant. It never goes completely away. I go to bed and wake up with a severe headache. This does not include the migraines I also have. My body hurts all the time. Nerve ending pain, headaches, pain when standing, sitting, laying down, sleeping and resting. It has sucked all the enjoyment out of my life. I have to cancel outings because going will be too much and cause a flare.
Fibromyalgia
I’ve just been diagnosed with onset dementia as a direct symptom of long term fibromyagia and chronic fatigue, I’m 60.
Fibromyalgia
When in a fibro flare, I can’t focus on a single thing, not the TV, not crochet. I’m like a zombie getting electrocuted constantly.
Fibromyalgia
It feels like the most intense horrible burning pain shooting throughout my body like high pressurized water shooting through a pipe. My body feels completely weak, as if I can’t lift a finger. My brain fog is so intense I can’t form simple sentences. It feels like my whole body is panicking terribly all the time. It’s so hard to keep control of my body and my emotions. Just the daily struggle.
Fibromyalgia
I lost who I was and the things, activities, and personality that defined me. Now I’m just a lost, lonely nobody.
Fibromyalgia
It is a non visible disability that affects the body 24hrs a day and that there’s no time off from it
Fibromyalgia
Stop thinking we enjoy laying in bed the whole day, feeling unlike yourself as you cannot do what you would normally do. It is a vicious cycle that leads to depression and feeling of hatred towards yourself
Fibromyalgia
I’ve lost my sense of self completely, he’s gone forever. I don’t really have a relationship with my body
Fibromyalgia
Even when I manage to sleep through the night, I feel like I’ve been awake for days. Some days im so exhausted that being awake makes me feel like throwing up and I want to crawl out of my skin. Sometimes I cant even move because my body literally refuses to work with me due to the exhaustion.
Fibromyalgia
Some doctors don’t go into the field of medicine to help patients, they do it for their paychecks..the oath do no harm, goes out the door.. compassion and empathy should be their motto..stop judging and putting titles of drug seeking on patients
Fibromyalgia
Some days I wonder why am I still here. Its so stressful and emotionally draining
Fibromyalgia
I’m always tired but find it difficult to sleep due to the pain
