How did surfing first become part of your life, and what does it mean to you now?
Iβve been surfing since I was 9 years old, and Iβm 19 now. Surfing has become my whole life.
I was born with ADHD, a condition that makes me more active and restless than usual.
For a long time, I felt like my mind was moving too fast, like I couldnβt find my place, like I didnβt fit in. I felt lost.
But I found in surfing a place where everything falls into place. Being in the ocean, waiting for a wave, and focusing on the present moment has calmed my mind and helped me live with more peace. Surfing is not just a sport to me; it is balance, therapy, and peace.
Am I feeling bad? I go surfing. Did I have a bad day? I go surfing. Did something amazing happen? I go surfing.
Surfing has become my escape when my mind doesnβt know how to handle certain situations.
Thanks to surfing, Iβve been able to find my identity, my lifestyle, and my calm.
