How did your journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu begin, and what does it mean to you now?
I started jiujitsu 5 years ago. I transitioned from judo to jiujitsu so the grappling game is somehow familiar to me.Β
My journey started when I was dealing with anxiety and depression, several moments that really shook my faith and I didn’t have anyone on my side.Β
The mats became my rehabilitation center, and every roll made me feel alive. Every body pain that I get reminds me that I’m still alive and I have a purpose.Β
Now, I do coaching in our training camp together with my head coaches, transforming young people also helping them find the beauty of the sport.Β
Jiu-Jitsu extended my life.
