How did your journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu begin, and what does it mean to you now?
My Brazilian jiu jitsu journey started when I was 17 and grappled for the first time, as soon as I wrestled I knew I wanted to continue but I wasnβt good enough for college so I had to find another outlet. That outlet being BJJ and it would change my perspective of how I view most things. Jiu Jitsu and other martial arts are more than what they may seem, they provide a community, confidence, and constant challenges. Iβm now 20 soon to be 21 at the end of the month and to me BJJ means having a second family, knowing that Iβm able to do anything I put my mind to and makes me want to better myself physically and mentally everyday.
