So My name is Nico, (short for NicolΓ‘s) i’m from south chile, i Discovered fingerboard in 4th grade, in chile tech decks are kind of a flex, and we had these chinese boards, i didnt really care about tricks i just liked having them, then i started getting more into it, My first wood setup one year ago is when i mark My actual start in fingerboarding tho.
Is skateboarding part of your life at all, and how does it relate to fingerboarding for you?
I kinda skate, i suck, thats why i prefer fingerboards, although i love skate Culture, i just can’t keep up in a real skate.
Who were some of your earliest inspirations in skating or fingerboarding, and how did they influence your style?
Been watching davidsjones videos for a long time, played Tony hawk pro skater games and skate 3 on a Friend’s 360.
What was your first setup like, and what companies or riders stood out to you at the time?
It was a cheap 30mm Wooden board, i had to change it because it was so Bad. It started falling apart, that board gave me My first ollie and treflip, i gave it to My baby brother.
As a gift. Obviously
What keeps you motivated and coming back to it?
The community and innovation man, other fingerboarders are Nice and, the feeling of a new trick, grind, clip, that i don’t have yet is amazing because it inspires to discover and try.
Tell us about your current setup and your favorite tricks to do.
I have an 36mm purple board, its from a brand named bravo, real good stuff, i love flip tricks, My favourite tricks are hardflips but i suck at them lol
How would you describe the fingerboarding community from your own experience?
It’s Nice and welcoming, theres Always someone to talk to and help, there is almost no Toxicity and it is such a great place
How do you feel about the cost of fingerboarding products today?
I think it is expensive, it’s very high and some people don’t have the resources to keep up with the prices, although it is kinda justified knowing everything it’s Made by hand and human precision, but the prices are kinda crazy, especially ramps/rails stuff
